Common questions
How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac?
Open Abobi, choose Full Version… from the app menu and click Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to buy Abobi.
What does the free version include?
Every feature. The only limit is length: without the purchase you can export audiobooks up to 90 minutes long. The limit is always shown on the Export tab, so you know before you start.
Which files can I use?
MP3, M4A, M4B, AAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF and CAF. Files protected with DRM — for example audiobooks bought in Apple Books or downloaded from subscription services — cannot be opened, and Abobi does not remove copy protection.
Chapters were split in the wrong places. What can I do?
- In the chapter editor, change the minimum pause length. Narrators who pause a lot within chapters need a longer value.
- Drag any marker on the waveform to the right spot, and listen to the boundary to check it.
- Remove markers that don’t belong. Every change can be undone.
“Chapter names from catalog” didn’t find my book.
The catalog covers published audiobooks. Abobi applies chapter names only when the length of your recording matches the catalog edition, so a different edition — or a recording with extra material — is rejected on purpose. Check the title and author on the Metadata tab and try again, or use splitting by silence instead.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
